About me
Hello there! My name's Zaina Qasim and I'm a Founding Engineer at Vector. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in May 2023 with a BS in Computer Science, a minor in Mathematics, and a Certificate in Software Engineering (Intelligent Software Development Track). I'm passionate about Human-AI interaction and want to be an expert in those fields someday!
Born and raised in a small Indian city called Lucknow, I never imagined that I would travel to a different city for higher education, much less a different country all the way on the other side of the world. Of course, I was ambitious and competitive; the type of person who would never pass up on an opportunity, yet traveling to the other side of the world seemed like wishful thinking. But here I am, living the dream! And the only lesson this has taught me is that you can achieve anything, as long as you put in enough effort.
CODING
Coding is my biggest passion. As a recent graduate with software development experience across full stack, data engineering, cloud computing, and machine learning, I'm continuously seeking new opportunities to grow.
PAINTING
Painting is one of my favorite hobbies. To me it is a form of self-expression and the most liberating activity that I can do in my free time.
CULTURES & LANGUAGES
I have always enjoyed exploring different languages and cultures. Being trilingual myself, I find a lot of joy in learning someone's traditions, immersing myself in their culture and learning their language.
DIGITAL DESIGN
In addition to painting, I really enjoy digital design, whether it involves posters, banners, or UIs.
VOLUNTEERING
Outside of academics, I am driven to give back to the community! Towards this effort, I volunteered for over 140 hours during college amounting to an impact value of roughly $3800.Page updated
