CAPIZ STATE UNIVERSITY - MAIN CAMPUS
WELCOMING PROGRAM AT AUDITORIUM MAIN CAMPUS CAPSU
14/01/2026
The Sea Teacher Batch 11 welcome programme was held at the Capiz State University Main Campus Auditorium on the morning of 14 January 2026. The event was attended by 10 participants of Sea Teacher Batch 11 from Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto, Riau University, Mercu Buana University, Lampang Rajabhat University Thailand, and of course Ahmad Dahlan University. The event was also attended by the president of CAPSU, lecturers from the CAPSU Department of Education, the Vice Mayor of Roxas City, and the Roxas City School Division. During the event, the participants also presented cultural performances, including singing by UMP, poetry reading by Mercu Buana, and traditional dancing by Lampang Rajabhat University and Riau University. Of course, my partner and I sang one of Indonesia's traditional songs, 'Cublak Cublak Suweng'. I thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming program as it allowed me to get closer and more familiar with the other participants.

OBSERVATION SESSION
Observation Class at STE (Science, Technology, and Engineering) Program and Regular Class Grade 8
19/01/2026
The characteristics of students in the STE Program class are that almost all students are very talkative, very active during class sessions and when the teacher asks questions they quickly raise their hands and answer the questions in a fun way, many of them are already fluent in English.
The characteristics of students in the Regular Class are almost the same as the STE Program. Many of them are active during class sessions, but there are also those who are busy going back and forth in class and do not pay attention to the teacher's explanation. But overall all students here very kind and active.
TEACHING INTERNSHIP
January 26-29, 2026
The teaching internship lasted for four days, from 26 to 29 January 2026. It began with arriving at school at 7 a.m. The classes I handled started at 8 a.m. Each day, I taught five classes (two regular classes and three special programmed classes, namely STE classes). Each lesson lasted for 60 minutes. The material I presented for the teaching internship was about letters (formal and informal letters). During the lesson, I first explained the material, followed by group activities, as students tend to be more active in group activities. In between teaching, when I had free time, I also discussed lesson plans and instructional materials with the cooperating teacher to prepare for my final demonstration.

CAPIZ STATE UNIVERSITY - MAIN CAMPUS
CLOSING PROGRAM AT AUDITORIUM MAIN CAMPUS CAPSU
6/2/2026
The programme has ended. The closing ceremony for Sea Teacher Batch 11 was held on 6 February 2026 at the CAPSU Main Campus auditorium from 1:30 PM to 5 PM. This event was a source of pride for me, as I was one of the participant testimonials and delivered the closing speech during the event. My feelings during the event were mixed. Between joy and sadness. The joy came from successfully completing the programme, meeting amazing friends, kind buddies who always looked out for me, and foster parents whom I consider family. The sadness stemmed from the realisation that my time in Capiz would not last long, and it was time for me to return to Indonesia, carrying a million memories that I will cherish forever. My hope is that I can return to Capiz someday and meet those meaningful people again.
