The Controls & Diagnostics Lab (CDL) at Oakland University was established by Dr. Yongsoon Yoon in August 2020. Our research interests encompass controls and diagnostics with broad mechatronic applications, spanning automotive powertrain (ICEs & electric), autonomous vehicles, fluid power systems, and energy.

April 25, 2024: We held a group gathering in the downtown of Rochester Hills to celebrate the end of the semester. Neha will start her internship at Brose in May. The group appreciates Neha's contribution to Simscape simulation. Wishing her the best!
April 20, 2024: Dr. Yoon delivered an invited talk, titled "Hydraulic System Diagnostic based on Inverse Model Estimation and Frequency Domain Analysis" at the Center for Compact & Efficient Fluid Power (CCEFP) Summit Spring 2024, held at the University of Minnesota, April 16-18, 2024.
April 20, 2024: Amir presented his paper on "Optimal Control Co-Design of a Parallel Electric-Hydraulic Hybrid Vehicle" at SAE WCX 2024, April 16-18, 2024. Well done!
