❀ Leveling & Feats: We will be using Milestone for leveling. Do not ask the DM when you will level up, this will depend on where and when the DM deems it time. As for Feats, you will gain these every 5 levels. You will not start with any feats at level 1.
❀ Advantages & Disadvantages: Do not ask for either, you will be asked to do these by the DM depending on the situation that occurs. You will either need to roll twice for either the higher number or the lower number.
❀ Deaths & Injuries: Death can happen to anyone, for this fact you are allowed to have 2 extra characters to join back with. If either of those die as well you will be removed from the Campaign. You can also suffer from Injuries during your adventures, these will take a toll on you if not treated. These may affect your Checks and Saves during the Session and can become permanent. “Try to take care of yourself.”
❀ Training Skills & Spiritual Searching: You have the ability to either Train to learn a new skill or do some Research. You can do this by asking NPCs or going off on your own self -journey.
❀ Ingredients & Resources: For crafting or cooking you will need ingredients to make something. As for spells, you will not need this unless it involves “Revival” like spells, as these are a bit OP in themselves. Restoration Spells also need a full med-kit to use or Ingredients for it.
❀ Fleeing & Retreating: At any time that players feel things are going south are free to either flee or retreat from battle. Doing so will cause you to lose random items within your inventory. That includes Money.
❀ Samurai Warrior Code: Samurai characters are expected to adhere to Bushido, the traditional code of conduct. Violation of Bushido principles may have significant consequences.
❀Karmic Choices: Players' choices and actions will have consequences, both good and bad, reflecting the concept of karma in the campaign. This could affect the livelihood of Japan down the road.
❀ Weapons: Characters should have appropriate weapon proficiencies based on their class and background, aligning with the weapons of feudal Japan.
❀ Roleplay & Immersion: Encourage players to immerse themselves in their characters, embracing their backgrounds, beliefs, and personalities during interactions and role-playing scenes.
❀ Honor & Reputation [Bushido Points]: Characters' actions and decisions will influence their honor and reputation in the world. High honor can grant benefits like discounts in shops and respect from NPCs, while low honor may lead to distrust and hostility. Players can earn Bushido Points by upholding the principles of Bushido and displaying honor, loyalty, and courage. These points can be spent to gain an advantage on attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks, reflecting the character's unwavering spirit.
❀ Pack Contracts & Social Status: Characters may form pacts or contracts with Humans, Yokai, and Demons, gaining unique abilities, transformations, or blessings. However, these pacts may come with challenges or consequences. NPCs' attitudes and behavior toward the characters are influenced by their social status and reputation. Characters with higher social status might be treated with more respect and receive better treatment, while those with lower status could face more challenges in social interactions.
❀ Duels: Players can initiate honor duels to settle disputes, defend their honor, or challenge adversaries in a fair and honorable way.
❀ Regional Lore & Legends: Each region in the campaign world may have unique lore and legends tied to its history, Yokai presence, or significant events. Players can learn about and interact with these local stories, gaining insights or benefits relevant to the area.
❀ Prestige Classes: Prestige classes are specialized paths that characters can take to further develop their skills and expertise. Characters may choose to take a prestige class related to iconic Feudal Japanese professions, like the Tea Master, Ikebana Master, or Swordmaster.
❀ Arcane/Divine Magic: Arcane spellcasters should flavor their spells with a Japanese aesthetic and adapt spell descriptions to fit the campaign's cultural setting. Divine spellcasters should draw their powers from spiritual entities, kami, or deities inspired by Japanese mythology.
❀ Human Magic: Unlike Demons and Yokai, Humans can only gain Magical Abilities through their Gods or Spiritual Awakening. These abilities are limited due to being only Human. You gain 1 Spell every 5 Levels.
❀ Yokai/Demon Magic: Players with yokai or demon characters may have unique abilities or transformations related to their heritage. Players should work with the DM to balance these abilities. These Abilities are based on Race, Class, and Stats. You gain 1 Spell every 5 Levels.
❀ Purification Magic [Priest/Priestess]: You have the Ability to Cleanse or Purge Evil Energies or Malevolent Influences from Objects, Individuals, and or Locations. This can also be used to Remove Curses, Combat Demons, and or cleanse haunted objects. Players can use this ability once per long rest.
❀ Exorcism Magic [Spiritual Monks]: You have the ability to Remove or Banish Evil Spirits, Demons, and or malevolent supernatural entities from either Objects, Individuals, and or locations. This can be used to free those of Possessions, Curses, or other forms of Spiritual or Supernatural Affictions. Players can use this ability once per long rest.
❀ Blessing Magic [Both]: You have the ability to give Blessings to those who are in need of Aid or Protection from Demons, Evil Spirits, or other Supernatural Affictions. This gives the creature that is blessed an Advantage on both Saving Throws or Attack Rolls. This only works once, and can only be used once per long rest.
❀ Seasonal Festivals/Entertainment: The campaign incorporates seasonal events and festivals, bringing unique quests, challenges, and rewards during specific times of the year. Players can immerse themselves in the cultural traditions and festivities of Feudal Japan. Players can interact with geisha and partake in traditional forms of entertainment, such as attending a geisha performance or participating in cultural events.

For example, a frozen lake might become a potential battleground during winter. Seasons within the Campaign will change every 30 Sessions.

❀ Currency: In the mystical realm of Nihon during the Kamakura Era, the currency system is based on three primary coin types: Mon (Copper), Zeni (Silver), and Ryu (Gold). Each coin type holds its own value and significance in this feudal world.
❀ Mon [Copper]: Mon coins are small copper pieces, commonly used for everyday transactions among commoners. They bear simple markings, often denoting the issuing authority.
Value: 100 Mon = 1 Zeni
❀ Zeni [Silver]: Zeni coins are medium-sized silver coins with intricate designs, often featuring symbols of local clans or powerful lords. They are used for mid-range transactions and trade.
Value: 100 Zeni = 1 Ryu
