❀ No OP Characters: There is no need to create an overly powerful Character, this includes Races, Classes, Subclasses, Multi-Classes, Items, Weapons, Armor, Stats, and or Feats. The DM will review your Character sheet either before or during Session 0. If you are not sure what is classed as OP please contact your DM and ask. The DM will be reviewing your Sheets before Session 1.
❀ Character Theme: This Campaign, is based within Feudal Japan. Your Characters need to theme the Historical side of Feudal Japan. If you need help with this please contact the DM for assistance. This also includes your Characters name and the theme must be Japanese.
❀ Backgrounds & Heritages: Players should create their Characters with well-defined backgrounds and heritages, making sure to draw inspiration from the rich Japanese Folklore. Please also create a backstory that is 1-2 pages at most and include how you would like to be introduced into the Campaign.
❀ Goals: Players are given a form to fill out, With this form please include at least 4-6 Goals for your Character for the Campaign. Character Sheet Forum
❀ Beliefs & Spiritual Connections/Affinities: Players must select Gods or Goddesses that are within Japanese Lore to worship, and what spiritual connection they have with them. Players should discuss with their DM to define their connections with Kami’s or Elements, and how they would manifest their powers.
❀ Weapon of Choice: Players must use Weapons that are themed with the Feudal Japan Era. This includes; Katana’s, Bows, Spears, Shuriken, Kunai, Nodachi/Odachi, Bo Staff, Kama, Tambo, Yumi, and or Nunchakus.
❀ Proficiencies: Players should select skills that are themed with their Character's Background and experiences.
Tiny & Small Creature Restrictions
❀ Hovering: You can hover a maximum of 5 feet above the ground while mounted on a Nimbus or a flying creature, provided you lack wings. Any willing creature, one size larger than you with the appropriate anatomy, can act as a mount.
❀ Heavy Weapons & Armor: Small or Tiny creatures face disadvantages when using heavy weapons and wearing armor, as these items are both too large and unwieldy for them to handle effectively.
❀ Weight: Tiny creatures can handle only half the carrying, pushing, dragging, or lifting capacity of Small creatures. Similarly, Small creatures can only manage half of what Medium creatures can handle in terms of carrying, pushing, dragging, or lifting.
❀ Grabble: Creatures of Tiny or Small size are unable to grapple creatures larger than themselves.
❀ Occupied Space: You are allowed to move through the space occupied by a nonhostile creature. However, you can traverse a hostile creature's space only if the creature is at least two sizes larger or smaller than you. Keep in mind that moving through another creature's space is considered difficult terrain for you.
These are Playable for this Campaign. Let the DM know what Yokai or Demon from Japanese Folklore you want to play and they will be Homebrewed for you. This is to ensure you get your Racial Abilities for your Race and everything is well Balanced.
❀ Humans: These are Basic Humans only!
❀ Yokai: These are Humanoid Animals, Spirits, and or Dolls.
❀ Demons: These are Humanoid Monsters, Creatures, and or Bugs.
❀ Half/Half: These will depend on whether you want to play either Half Human & Half Yokai or Half Human & Half Demon. Spirits do not allow for Half/Half.
These are Playable for this Campaign. Let the DM know what Class you would like to have for your Character. This will help the DM determine how Subclasses are made. The DM will give you a selection of 3 Subclasses [These will be homebrewed by DM] that work best with your character's Personality, Backstory, Main Class, Abilities, and Racial Traits. Due to how these are set up, Multi-Classing is not allowed.

❀ Ninja [Main Class Rogue]: Stealthy and mysterious, ninjas are shadowy assassins and spies, trained in the arts of deception and subterfuge. They move silently through the night, wielding deadly weapons such as shurikens and katanas. Ninjas are masters of espionage and information gathering, using their talents to gather intelligence and eliminate threats with precision and speed. With their dark arts and secretive nature, they navigate the shadows with unmatched skill.
❀ Ronin [Main Class Fighter]: Ronin are masterless samurai who wander the land, seeking purpose and redemption. Whether cast out by their lord or choosing a path of independence, they are skilled swordsmen who embrace a more flexible code of honor. Ronin may be driven by personal quests for justice or enlightenment, and their loyalty lies with their principles rather than a master. They are often seen as wandering heroes or mysterious drifters, offering their services to those in need.
❀ Spiritual Monks [Main Class Monks]: Spiritual monks are devoted to the pursuit of enlightenment and self-discipline. They possess a deep connection to the spiritual realm and often practice martial arts as a means of reaching inner harmony. These monks may draw upon the elements or channel the energy of ki to perform incredible feats, both in combat and in daily life. With their tranquil demeanor and profound wisdom, they serve as spiritual guides and formidable protectors.
❀ Priest/Priestess [Main Class Cleric]: Priestesses or Priest are devout individuals who serve the gods and spirits, acting as intermediaries between the mortal realm and the divine. They perform sacred rituals and offer prayers to invoke blessings and protection for their communities. Some Priestesses or Priests have the power to heal the wounded and cure ailments through divine intervention, while others may wield nature's power as druids, protecting the balance of the natural world. Their spiritual connection makes them essential figures in the religious and social fabric of feudal Japan.
❀ Bushi [Main Class Barbarian]: The term "Bushi" refers to a class of skilled and courageous warriors who fight with fervor and passion. They can include masterful swordsmen, fierce barbarians, or paladins dedicated to a cause or vengeance. Bushi encompasses various fighting styles, from brute force to tactical expertise. Regardless of their methods, Bushi are warriors who bring their determination and ferocity to the battlefield, often becoming the frontline protectors of their allies and champions of justice or conquest.
