Welcome to my website.

My primary fields of research are applied labor and population economics and the evaluation of policies. I am particularly interested in German immigration policies, employees' well-being and labor market performance, and Chinese family planning policies.

In my research, I seek to identify and evaluate causal effects by combining adequate settings of analysis with appropriate (often novel) data and modern (micro-)econometrics methods. My goal is to contribute to various fields of economic research, understand political implications and make suggestions to policy makers by providing solid empirical evidence.
