Dumplings (Jiaozi), a traditional Chinese dish, are commonly boiled, steamed, or fried. In China, they are especially popular during Chinese New Year's Eve and the Winter Solstice, with a particularly strong tradition in Northern China. On these occasions, family members and friends often gather to make dumplings together, sharing not only a meal but also a meaningful, shared experience.
Since coming to Germany, I have made dumplings every Chinese New Year's Eve, sharing them with friends. The dumplings I make are not only delicious but also beautifully crafted, earning me the nickname "Dumpling Princess" from my friends.
After my PhD defense, I received a truly interesting present from my friends, and I’d love to share this fun story with you. Now, I’ve earned a new nickname: Queen of Dumpling World!
