My primary research fields are applied labor and demographic economics, personnel economics, and policy evaluation. My research focuses on topics such as German immigration policies, employees' well-being and labor market performance, German industrial relations, and Chinese family planning policies.
In my research, I aim to identify and evaluate causal effects by combining well-designed analytical frameworks with appropriate, often novel datasets and modern (micro-)econometric methods. My goal is to contribute to various fields of economic research, deepen the understanding of political implications, and provide policymakers with solid empirical evidence to inform decision-making.
