The SPF-NPCC Badge was first launched in 1997 to give recognition to cadets with good leadership qualities and outstanding achievements.
It is the highest award badge that cadets can vie for & is only awarded to the top few percent of all graduating cadets in NPCC.

The Station Inspector (SI) Promotion is awarded in recognition of outstanding leadership, dedication, and exemplary conduct in the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC). This promotion reflects the cadet’s commitment to upholding NPCC values and serving as a role model for their peers.
Station Inspector is the highest rank that is attainable by cadets. SIs can be recognized by the yellow flash on their berets & are addressed as Sirs or Ma'ams.
Every year, up to 3 cadets from the graduating squad will receive this rank.

The Best Unit Cadet Award is presented to cadets who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, commitment, and discipline within Yishun Secondary School’s NPCC unit. This award recognizes their outstanding performance in training and service.
The Best Unit Cadet (BUC) badge is awarded yearly to up to two cadets.
