The bridge between quantum physics and the classical theory of gravity has been a decades-long problem for many physicists. During this time, quantum gravity has become a rich and broad research area that can be approached in many ways and which has spanned a wealth of complementary theories. We know - and it is no wonder - that many starting researchers of physics are fascinated with the prospect of a quantum theory of gravity. We are also aware that the complexity of the subject, as well as the diversity of different frameworks constructed to tackle it, and sometimes the lack of pedological content on the topics, can make it challenging for all those younger researchers interested in the field; researchers who, oftentimes under the pressure of their own work, are not able to delve into the topic as much as they would like, and with as much detail as they would want.
With all this in mind, we - Young Researchers of Quantum Gravity (YRQG) - are organizing a series of monthly meetings on quantum gravity that is specially tailored for advanced master students, doctorates, and post-docs. The talks are intended to be accessible and to have a higher didactic value for young researchers. Furthermore, we provide a unique opportunity for young researchers to show off their work!
The seminars will cover different branches of quantum gravity and related research, and we will strive to organize multiple seminars on the same subject in consecutive months. This should allow for a hierarchical exploration of the topics, from the foundational structures up to more recent developments. The content will not be rushed, and emphasis will lie on thoroughly discussing the subject of each talk. In this manner, a solid foundation and greater understanding can be achieved, even for those who may not be familiar with all the branching theories and frameworks.
Finally, we aim to promote a virtual environment where young researchers worldwide can get into contact with each other, and new collaborations can be formed and thrive.
We expect this community to grow in the future, and we hope we can do so with you.

10/12/23 - You can now sign up to become a speaker in the YRQG seminar series. Just fill in the form linked in the tab "Upcoming Events".
05/09/22 - News galore! We are back after the summer break with new announcements and improvements:
- We have created a Google calendar with all scheduled talks so that following the seminar series is easier than ever!
- We are very happy to announce that the YRQG committee has been enlarged and improved: we warmly welcome Johanna Borissova (PI) to the team!
- We are proud to present a new batch of talks for the next academic season, dubbed the expert series, where well-established researchers and professors will introduce their broad research fields.
06/03/22 - In order to further expand the reach of the project, and after suggestions from an audience outside of Europe, we have rearranged the time schedules for the talks. They are now to be held at 16 CET (10 EST).
14/02/22 - The Young Researchers of Quantum Gravity seminar is now supported by DFG Research Training Group (RTG) 2522! We are very grateful to the RTG administration for helping the project grow.
13/01/22 - The official YRQG website has now been launched! The idea is that all information pertaining to the project can be found quickly and easily here. We hope you enjoy browsing around.
