YRL has several different kits your library can borrow. Check out the kits displayed below in each of the sections including Makerspace, Storytime, Read Alberta, xBox, World Languages, Indigenous Collections, and StoryWalk Kits. Click on the image to learn about the kit, how it can be used in your programming.
Explore the programming kits pages, including the Makerspace Kits, Storytime Kits, and Additional YRL kits available to borrow, to see what you would like to borrow, and email us at askyrl@yrl.ab.ca or kits@yrl.ab.ca to make the request. All we require in the email request is the name of the kit and the dates you'd like to borrow it. We'll check our kit booking calendar to see if the kit is available and will let you know if it is available at the time you requested. If the kit is available on the requested dates, we'll book the kit for you, and you'll receive an email confirmation. If not, we'll reply with alternative dates or suggestions for other kits that may be a good alternative. We'll let you know when it will be delivered and when it needs to be ready for pickup. That's it! Whether the kit is for programming in the library or a classroom, the kits YRL offers are sure to fill a vast array of programming needs, so check it out, spread the word to your colleagues, and let's get some fantastic kits booked!
**Please note that schools can only borrow one Makerspace Kit per month. In addition, schools can borrow one Storytime Kit or any of the kits from the Additional Programming Kits page, which equals two monthly kits.
