YRL offers curriculum support to supplement your library's collection. If you or any of the teaching staff require books or library materials (DVDs, Blu-ray discs, audiobooks, music CDs, etc.) for upcoming learning units or projects within the curriculum, we can help.
You can request materials with as much notice as possible. We will search for relevant and age-appropriate materials in TRACpac and deliver them to you as soon as they are available.
You can request up to five copies for a novel study and up to 20 titles for specific learning units or subject areas for a loan period of up to nine weeks.
To make curriculum support requests, email askyrl@yrl.ab.ca with the details of what you're looking for (general topic, title, author, ISBN if available, format, and/or date/edition if necessary). We will search for the materials you are looking for, let you know what we found, and when we will ship the materials to you (either on a scheduled van run or by mail). Depending on the location of the items we have found, it can take a few days to a few weeks to receive the titles requested, so providing as much advanced notice is beneficial.
We can also assist with material purchases for your library collection and refer you to suitable electronic resources.
