CLUB HOUSE RULES 

The intent of these rules is to provide guidelines to ensure that all Members, Guests, and Event Participants derive maximum use of the facility and to make sure the facility is cared for properly. 


Smoking Do not smoke in the Clubhouse.  When smoking outside please be considerate of others. 

Conduct Members and Event Managers are responsible for guests and must ensure that all attendees conduct themselves properly. Please use caution when you or your guests are near the water.  

Guest Privileges Guests must be in the company of a member, not visit the club more than three times annually (Other than a constant companion of a single member) and abide by club rules. Members who bring guests must inform the Rear Commodore or Host and are responsible for costs, if applicable. 

Availability Use of the Clubhouse is primarily for the scheduled activities of the Club. Use of the Clubhouse is also a significant benefit of Club membership and can promote appreciation of the Club among potential members and the community at large.

 Members may host events at the Club when a responsible member is present and when all costs and liabilities are covered. The Club will not charge rent for such events although a donation is greatly appreciated.  A fee for cleaning and other costs may be requested.  An application form for use follows.  

Use of the Club by boating or water-related organizations will be encouraged, e.g., U.S. Power Squadron, U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Master Naturalists, Turkey Shoot Regatta. Reciprocal privileges have been established with other yacht clubs in the region. Transients may use the dock and grounds for up to three consecutive days with permission of the Club Dockmaster. The Dockmaster may arrange additional Clubhouse access or services to make visitors' stay more enjoyable. 

Use of the club by a substantial number of non-members, still requiring a member to sponsor, may require an ABC banquet license, a certificate of insurance and a security deposit. Events shall be approved and scheduled on the Club calendar by the Vice Commodore who shall make sure that insurance, zoning and ABC requirements are met. If in doubt as to the advisability of granting a request, or if the event does not include a substantial number of club members, the Vice Commodore shall submit the request to the Board for approval and determination of any security deposit required. Club members are encouraged to use their Clubhouse. 

Security The doors shall stay locked when the Clubhouse is not in use. The combination can be obtained from any Board member. 

When leaving, please review the LAST TO LEAVE INSTRUCTION SHEET as posted. Secure all electrical items, leave thermostat at 60 degrees in winter, 80 degrees in summer, and lock all doors. Don’t share your key code with non-members. 

Overnight No overnight stays are permitted except for emergencies as determined by a Flag Officer. 

ABC The Rear Commodore is responsible for operating within Commonwealth rules for alcohol at private clubs. ABC rules cover the entire property, grounds as well as the clubhouse. Members need to understand these rules and obey them. 

Animals Not allowed in Clubhouse.  When with a pet outside please be considerate of others.  

 Parking Our Membership is growing. Parking where indicated will allow everyone to have a space.
