Aim: The conference aimed to provide new perspectives on the understanding of migration and its determinants, as well as on the evaluation of migration policy. The need for further research and debate on this topic is underpinned not only by the social, economic, demographic and cultural implications of migration for the EU member states, but also by new migration challenges faced by these countries in the current context of the coronavirus pandemic.
