FBK-IRVAPP Basic School 2021: Fundamentals and Methods for Impact Evaluation of Public Policies
During September 6th – 10th and 13th – 15th 2021, 3 members of the project research team attended a training course organized by the Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies – IRVAPP in Trento, Italy: Alina Botezat (principal investigator), Mihaela David (postdoctoral researcher) și Cristian Încalțărău (young researcher).
The purpose of attending this course was to improve participants’ methodological skills needed by the project activities, by understanding the fundamental principles and getting familiar with the latest methods used in the evaluation of the impact of public policy implementation.
RECSM Summer School
Ph.D. student Sabina Diac attended the course called Introduction to Regression Analysis which took place during June 30th – July 1st, 2021. The course was part of the RECSM Summer School organized by the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona during June 28th-July 16th, 2021. The course had a total duration of 8 hours and it consisted of two online meetings. The meetings were organized by Dr. Daniele Toninelli, assistant professor at the Department of Management, Economics and Quantitative Methods at the University of Bergamo.
This course helped the participant improve her knowledge and statistical data processing skills in order to apply linear and multiple regression methods, necessary within the project.

During January 31st – February 5th, 2022, 2 members of the project research team attended a training course organized by the Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies – IRVAPP in Trento, Italy: Alina Botezat and Cristian Incaltarau.
Documentation Internship
Documentation internship at the University of Campania "Luigi Vanvitelli", Department of Economics, in Capua (Caserta), Italy, during June 20th – July 1st, 2022, carried out by Alina Botezat, under the guidance of Prof. Francesco Pastore.
CEMFI: Machine Learning in Finance
Cristian Incaltarau's participation at the "Machine Learning in Finance" course, organized during September 12th – 16th, 2022 at the Center for Financial and Monetary Studies (CEMFI), Madrid, Spain.
