Juvenile Probation Projects: Leads the Empowering Family Voice project, which gathers feedback from youth and families on probation to strengthen case planning, build trust, and make supervision more responsive. In August 2025, this work reached over 300 professionals through a Youth Justice Institute webinar.
Journey.do: In partnership with the Maricopa County Juvenile Probation Department and LifeLab Studios, we study the impact of Journey.do, a digital support tool designed to help probation officers guide youth in goal-setting, skill-building, and communication. Ongoing evaluations examine how this technology influences probation practices and youth outcomes, linking innovation to evidence-based reform.
Destruction of Juvenile Records: Expands opportunities for record clearance and rights restoration across Arizona. What began as a Maricopa County pilot is now a statewide initiative helping youth and adults clear records and access education, housing, and employment through research-driven, community-based partnerships.
Virtual Tutoring Program: Co-created the first tutoring and mentoring programs inside Arizona’s juvenile detention facilities, later expanded statewide to serve youth on probation, diversion, and parole. These programs support positive youth development while engaging ASU students in community-based research and service.
