Account Deletion & Data Retention

   We respect your right to be forgotten.

  While we respect your right to be forgotten, this right is balanced against the financial security of the community. Therefore, trust identifiers (Phone Number/Reliability Status) are retained permanently to prevent the subversion of our trust-based system.

In-App Deletion Process

   Users can delete their account at any time by:

  1. Opening the Side Menu in the application.

  2. Selecting "Delete Account".

  3. Confirming the permanent deletion request.

Data Erasure Policy

Data Deletion & Community Trust Policy You may request to permanently delete your account through the app settings. Our deletion and retention process follows a tiered schedule to ensure community security:

Immediate Deletion: Upon your request, we immediately and permanently remove your Name, Email Address, and Precise Location data from our active servers.

• Temporary Retention (7-Day Audit Period): If you have an active history within an association, your detailed payment logs and association records are kept for a period of seven (7) days. This grace period is strictly to allow association coordinators (Responsibles) to finalize their financial records and association integrity. After these 7 days, these specific records are permanently purged.

• Permanent Retention (Trust Identifiers): Following the 7-day period, we maintain a    permanent record of only your Phone Number and your Payment Reliability Status (e.g., "Regular" or "Irregular").

• The Reason for Permanent Retention (Financial Security): "Your Association" is a platform built on peer-to-peer financial commitments. To protect coordinators and members from financial risk:

i. Preventing History Resetting: This ensures that a member with a history of irregular payments or non-payment cannot delete their account to "wipe the slate clean" and rejoin new groups under a fresh profile, which would put other members' money at risk.

ii. Coordinator Reliability Analysis: This allows Responsibles to view a reliability score associated with a phone number before accepting a member, maintaining a safe financial environment for the community.

iii. System Integrity: This retention prevents fraud within the Milestone Rewards Program by preventing account duplication.

• Data Privacy: This retained data is used strictly for reliability analysis and is never shared with third parties or used for marketing.

• Account Recovery & Restoration: 

If you request deletion by mistake, you have seven (7) days to contact support or log back in to cancel the request. 

After this 7-day audit period, your personal identity data is purged and cannot be restored, even if you have a Google Drive backup, as the server-side keys will be invalidated.
