He comes from Vietnam and attained a Doctor of Engineering degree from Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan in 2020. Following this, he assumed a postdoctoral position at Kyungpook National University, Korea, from September 2020 to September 2023. Subsequently, in October 2023, he became a Research Assistant at Yoshida Lab, concentrating his research on Microbial Fuel Cell and photosynthesis. 

Research topic: Methane enhancement from high and low strength wastewater using conductive carbon material

Muzzammil is currently on study leave from working in Malaysian Palm Oil Board as a Research Officer in Engineering & Processing Research Division to pursue his doctoral degree in Nagoya University. He was accepted to Yoshida’s laboratory to conduct his PhD research on methane enhancement using conductive carbon material. This research is also a part of JICA's Science and Technology Research Partnerships for Sustainable Development (SATREPS) project on POME Treatment. 

Research topic: optimization of oxygen reduction reaction in microbial fuel cell with cost-effective catalysts using palm oil mill effluent

Following the completion of his Bachelor of Environmental Engineering on 2021 in Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), he continued Master of Environmental Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia ( UTM) on 2024. He initially met Naoko Yoshida in Advanced Membrane Technology Research Centre (AMTEC) UTM, providing a way to join her laboratory through SATREPS research project in Nagoya Instititute of Technology and subsequent transfer to Nagoya University for PhD program in Environmental Engineering, specifically on microbial fuel cell (MFC).

I am responsible for the anaerobic cultivation and analysis of microorganisms.微生物の嫌気培養、分析を担当しています。

I work as a Technical Assistant in the Dehalogenation Group. Although I have been in this position for several years, there is still a lot to learn, and I continue to develop my skills through my daily work. Unfortunately, I can't speak English yet, but I hope that one day I will be able to have conversations in English. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games and watching anime.

I began to work since April as a Technical Assistant.　 I must acquire skill and knowledge.  　Also, I am re-studying English.
