・Spring Semester Seminar (April–July, twice a week)
 - Research progress reports / Paper meetings (alternating) — 1 M1 student + 1 B4 student
 - Journal Club: presentation of international papers — M1 → B4 (each presents one paper once)
 - Block Seminar: group reading of Brock’s Biology of Microorganisms

• Fall Semester Seminar (October–February, twice a week)

• Introduction Presentation (early October)
 - Write the introduction for the graduation thesis (background and research objectives, about 5 pages, A4 size) and read it together for review.

• Interim Presentation for the entire Water Engineering Laboratory (December)

• Final Graduation Thesis Presentation (February of the following year)

• In addition, presentation practice is conducted before conferences.

　卒業論文の緒言（研究の背景と研究目的、A4で5枚程度）を書き、
　内容を読み合わせる
•水工研全体の中間発表（12月）
•卒研発表（翌年２月）
•この他、学会前には発表練習を行う
