Selection Criteria

1. Each applicant must have played on a CBO, CYC, JAO or SEYO team at one time between 2^nd Grade to 8^th Grade.
2. Each applicant must be in the 8^th grade at the time of the application deadline.
3. Each applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at time of the application deadline.
4. Each applicant must write an essay of 300 words, or less, on the day of the physical tryouts. The topic will be determined by the Selection Committee.
5. Each applicant must participate in all components of the physical tryouts. Applicants who sustain a physical injury before or during the physical tryout will be evaluated against the other applicants. There is no alternate day for the physical tryout.
6. Each applicant and their parent(s), or guardian, must participate in the interview with members of the Selection Committee. There is no alternate day for the interview.
7. Each applicant must submit two (2) letters of recommendation.
8. Each applicant and his/her parent(s), or guardian, must sign the Medical Consent and Injury Waiver.
9. Each applicant and his/her parent(s), or guardian, must sign a Player-Parent contract which outlines team participation commitments, a code of conduct, and financial obligations. (Emailed at a later date.)
10. Each applicant may be required to submit medical clearance to travel and play outside the United States of America.
11. Each applicant must have at least one (1) parent accompany them on the Goodwill Tour to Japan.
12. Yonsei reserves the right to determine applicant eligibility on a case by case basis.
