Vicky Fletcher & Sunny

"I have been with the Yolo County Sheriff's Posse since Sheriff Prieto brought it back to the department in 2002. We have worked as a team to expose our mounts to many things they may face while out on the trail in a search or supporting Law Enforcement at the Yolo County Fair. I have been involved with horses most of my life, team roped, cattle work, trail rides- just about anything with horses. Thank heavens my husband loves them too! Sunny is a 14 year old Quarter Horse mare. She has done just abut everything including a movie! She loves all kinds of interactions with people & animals! Her favorite treats are carrots and Mrs. Field's Cookies."

Posse Member since 2002.

Pam Van Brocklin & Otie

"Retired Grammie! I love gardening, riding and having my family close. Otie is an 8 year old gelding. Bought him at 3 years old and still learning to ride him!"

Georgie Hartman & Tank

"I'm retired from Woodland School District. I've been in the Posse for 12 years. I have 2 horses that I use for the Posse. I like to go horse camping and ride on all of the beautiful trails. I've had horses my whole life and will never be without them. Tank is a 16 year-old Shire/Quarter Horse Cross & a PMU rescue from Canada. He was on his way to the slaughter house. Tank is a very brave horse and is also very gentle. He enjoys meeting new people and being petted. There is nothing he won't do for me!"

Posse Member since 2007.

Robyn Lamb-Wilcox & Roanie

"I've always had a love for horses and decided to take horse back riding lessons for the first time 7 years ago. Since that time, Roanie is my second horse and have owned her now for about 5 years. I was introduced to the Yolo County Sheriff's Posse and this wonderful bunch of people in 2013- And I'm very glad I was. Roanie is a 12 year-old Red Roan Quarter Horse. Prior to the Posse she was a member of the Equestrian Trail Patrol for CSHA Region 3."

Posse Member since 2013.

Angie Moreland & Shot of Jagermeister

"After nearly 10 years of being a 'horse mom' and Yolo County 4H Horse Leader and running events, I started to 'really' ride and compete in 2009, training Jager as I did. I have always enjoyed learning about horses, from health issues to how to ride. To date I have competed in Gymkhana, Horse Mastership, Trail Trials, and enjoy a chance to work with cattle, horse camping, or just trail riding. I also judge in trail and obstacle events. I most enjoy when I am able to help someone else with their horse. I joined the Sheriff's Posse in 2015 and we now enjoy parades and PR events too, but plan to pursue Search and Rescue mostly in the future. Jager is a Standard Bred/Paint cross gelding, born in May 2007 and now over 17 horse hands. He certainly shows his breeding with his mellow, sensible and social temperament in regards to all he is asked to do and exposed to. He loves his carrots, apples and horse cookies."

Lydia

"I like serving my community and I enjoy being part of the terrific team. I enjoy the opportunity to be a part of the Posse, the ability to be around horses, in the open terrain and know that as a team we serve a higher purpose. As Yolo County Sheriff's Posse ground crew, I can serve the community, assist the Posse, and have a lot of fun doing it! I find it very rewarding."

Olivia McGuigan

"Hello! I am so excited to be a part of the Yolo County Sheriff's Posse. I am an 8th grade math teacher at Douglass Middle School, in Woodland, CA. I have a huge love for horses, and spend my free time riding at a local barn. I grew up riding, and hope to own my own horse in the future. I joined the Sheriff's Posse as a ground crew member to serve my community. I love all of the public events we do and the trainings we have to make sure we are ready to serve in any situation our community may need. Make sure to say "Hay!" next time you see me!"
