Shri Vethathiri Maharishi founded the World Community Service Center in the year 1958. The guiding principle of this Center is to inculcate Individual Peace, spreading to Family Peace, and ultimately blossoming to World Peace through the practice of Yoga and meditation. Shri Vethathiri Maharishi, developed the Simplified Kundalini Yoga (SKY) system after his years of intense meditation, yogic practices, research and spiritual realization. The SKY system synthesizes a complete science of living for the betterment of humanity through: Simplified Physical Exercises for Health, Meditation Practices for Inner Peace, Kaya Kalpa Yoga for Anti-Aging, and four levels of Introspection for Happiness. The system of Yogic practices is taught to all, irrespective of religion, race, nationality etc.
In this session, masters from the SKY system, Sundar, Rajendran, Chandren and Ponnila, will be teaching the Simplified Physical Exercise that delivers all the benefits of Yoga without complicated postures, and is suitable for beginners, elders, as well as experts.
80% of adults will suffer from back-pain at some point due to life style changes, and the estimated treatment cost just in US is more $100 billion annually. ‘Makar-Asana’ or ‘Crocodile posture’ is a set of yogic exercises that target the spinal column from the Cervical, Thoracic, Lumbar to the Sacral region systematically. It strengthens the abdominal muscles, the backbone, and nerves emanating from the back bone. The systematic twist of the spinal cord also normalizes the endocrine glands, thus aiding in curing diabetics, arthritis, sciatica, high blood pressure, hip, spine and neck pain, and uterus problems and irregular menstrual cycles in women.
