I offer nourishing Vinyasa and Hatha yoga classes in Stockport that are suitable for beginners and more experienced yogis. Escape the business of life, arrive as you are and leave feeling grounded and centered!
My yoga journey started a few years ago with classes at my local gym, where I was instantly drawn to the sense of calm and balance the practice brought into my life. Later, I discovered Ashtanga Yoga at a my favourite local studio.
My path eventually led me to complete a 200-hour teacher training in both Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga. I’m particularly drawn to the creative and dynamic flow of Vinyasa, and how it can be adapted to meet the unique energy needs of each class. Whether you're seeking an energising practice or something more grounding, I aim to create space for this and offer a variety of themes.
Yoga has brought transformative benefits to my body, mind, and spirit which I love to share with students.
As it says in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra 1.2: yogas chitta vritti nirodha. This is translated by some people as, “yoga is the stilling or controlling of the fluctuations of the mind.” My hope is to offer students a space where they can connect to the present moment, find stillness and reconnect with themselves.
With a background in secondary school teaching, I deeply understand that everyone arrives on the mat with their own unique experiences. I love to offer an inclusive practice that is suitable for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
I love reading about Yoga philosophy with a deep interest in yoga's ethical practice (the yamas and niyamas) and studying the energy centres (chakras).
