Our Y partners with many health insurance plans for reimbursements. This can be trickly to navigate as often members come in with only pieces of information. Linked below is a cheat sheet on how to process all of our insurance partnership memberships. To determine what a member is looking for some of the following tips may help:

"I have a free membership through my insurance."
"Medicare covers my insuarnce."
"My Dr. said I get a free membership."

No matter the approach, always first ask what their type of insurance is and whether or not they have an insurance card - this will help you determine what next steps to take. If they do NOT have a current partner they may still have an insurance company that will reimburse a portion of their membership. Help them make that call to determine next steps.

YMCA of Central MA allows reciprocity at all times. If membership is being abused we will deal case by case.

If one of OUR members wants to use reciprocity at another YMCA, please advise them to call and find out if that Y has any limitations - we could help by making that call.

Only memberships NOT eligible for reciprocity are teen.
