Her best teaching attribute was making sure we were involved in answering questions and interacting in lab.
She is really good at promoting class involvement.
Students consistently recognized my enthusiasm and knowledge to the subject as my best teaching attribute. I appreciated my students seeing my willing to help in and out of class by answering questions, assisting the experiments, and clarifying understanding. In fact, I am an introvert person and I did not have confidence before doing any teaching. However, those comments from students really encouraged me and gave me confidence that I can be a good teacher. Though I am a quiet person in normal time, I know that my passion and enthusiasm turn my extrovert side while being in a class in front of my students. From the evaluation comments, my weaknesses seem to be unclear communication and time management. It pointed one of my problems that I tended to talk more about the procedure details, which may dilute the most important points for students. To solve this problem, I should emphasize the outlines and give more confidence to students to let them read and learn the experiment details by themselves. I should encourage them to ask questions in the self-learning process and not to be afraid making mistakes. To do this, it may also solve the time management problem since I will talk less with those details and give more time for students to learn and find questions.
