Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school. -- Albert Einstein

I see teaching as one important part of my professional career besides doing research. I gradually realize that education is not an easy task, since it evolves enthusiasms, patience, pedagogy, strategies, and self-learning and reflection in the processes. I also notice that, as an interactive activity with people (students and mentees), teaching can be more complex than doing research which mainly focuses on data and papers. During my teaching and mentoring experience, I find that I enjoy teaching because I am eager to share my passion, knowledge, and experience about my field and research with my students, and inspire students how to think, how to learn and how to explore.

I have compiled my teaching portfolio, which includes my teaching philosophy reflecting my beliefs, goals and practices. I keep learning from my teaching experience and mentoring activities. You may find teaching evaluations from students in past courses. I had a few interesting teaching activities and materials. I also include my diversity statement. I hope to strengthen my teaching further through more teaching development activities and work experiences.
