This year we motorized a microscope, so it can move a sample. We also programed a picture analysis, so it can scan and analyze the sample as well, counting the parasites in the process. This way we made scientists work faster and easier. Of course, that someone invented it before us, but their products are for 7000 Euro, but our would cost only something over 300 Euro. We would also love to try AI for our picture analysis.
We shared this prototype with Michael Hession, and he told us: "It’s amazing. I’m very happy to see a little robot doing my job for me 😅. They did such a good job and I would have been very glad to have something like that when I was looking at my little cells :)."
We also shared our project with scientists in the Institute of Molecular Biology on the Slovak Academy of Sciences and one of our teammates presented it to his class in his school ŽŠ Za kasárňou.
