Phase 1:
The job packet, during this project, I was able to search and apply for a job. Thus, there were a lot of steps we went through which were, creating a resume and cover letter, writing a reference request email, and finally how to manoeuvre a company website which will help you toward applying for a job for that specific company. Each one of these steps reinforce me in terms of writing in a professional level.

Company Overview:
Verizon is an American Telecommunications company headquartered in New York City. It was created on June 30, 2000 by Bell Atlantic Corp. and GTE Corp., It is also the world's second largest telecommunication company because of their revenue.
Verizon is today a global communications technology company delivering the promise of the digital world to millions of customers every day.
They have done so many innovations such as deploying Verizon’s 5G Private Network in the current infrastructure to maximize resource use, efficiency, and venue capabilities. Because the “FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX at Hard Rock Stadium was set to host nearly a quarter of a million fans over the course of a three-day period.” Due to the fact that an enormous amount of devices and tech are being used at the venue, they need a high-speed network to ensure smooth operations. This type of platform allowed fans to quickly get into the venue and enjoy.
Another innovation was they were able to demonstrate two significant technological advancements for the Department of Defense. Because to stay ahead of their adversaries, the Department of Defense military needs timely and accurate information.
Because of all these innovations they have done, Verizon were positioned three times as Leader in 2025. One of them is “ Verizon a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Global WAN Services 19 consecutive times”.
Because of their innovative vision, I would like to be part of these accomplishments and better serve the needs of the community.

Getting our New Jersey customers connected to America’s fastest and most reliable network! You’ll be out and about in the neighborhoods we serve, installing, testing, repairing and maintaining the technology that keeps millions of customers connected.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Connecting, disconnecting, testing, repairing, maintaining equipment, inside wiring and wires at poles, underground or building terminals.
Placing, removing or repairing copper wiring, fiber optic or cable between poles, buildings.
Performing splicing operations in connection with installing, rearranging and repair of plant facilities.
Installing, repairing, maintaining, and testing access lines for all types of equipment and technology.
Reading and interpreting engineering plans and vendor specifications.
Climbing ladders, working aloft, perceiving differences in wire and cable colors, and moving/lifting items generally not exceeding 100 lbs.
Working evenings, weekends, holidays and unscheduled shifts as determined by the needs of the business.

As a kid, I loved wiring damaged phones and others, which built my interest into the field. Based on my recent internship and my eagernesseager to learn new skills led me to apply for this position.
As my resume indicates, I was working during Summer 2022 as an intern for a company named Power Electric. As an Electrical Technician Intern, I was assisting with maintenance which was helping the technician repairing and replacing the wiring. I was also troubleshooting which was to identify the electrical problem using tools such as a multimeter. I was also assisting the technician to inspect the electrical equipment and system to ensure proper and safe functioning. During this internship, I learned a lot of hands-on skills and the use of multiple electrical tools.
I believe that I am a perfect fit for this job position, because based on my recent internship where I was doing the same thing and my educational background. Marc, is a friend that I worked with during my internship at Power Electric.
Reflection:
Going through this project, I have learned a lot of things that I will need regarding the world after college.I was able to create my first ever cover letter which was challenging and is a tool that will help me after graduating and looking for a job.
It was not an easy project due to enormous reading and writing, especially when writing about the company overview. It took me hours to go over the website to know more about the company achievements and goals in the future. It is a good thing because it familiarizes you with the company you are applying for and will help you strengthen your cover letter. Because nowadays, a lot of people write and publish about these companies without knowing anything about them which could lead you to misinformation. Thus, it is better to go over the company website to avoid such things.
Besides the aspect of the reading and writing challenges, I feel like this project was very interesting and will guide us through the world after graduating college. Because you are aware of what is waiting for you once you graduate. Now I know the process of applying for a job and how to multiply your chances by reviewing the company website in case they called you for an interview.
I am so proud of my work, and the most important part was the learning of new skills that will last forever.
