Katalyst (Undergraduate Leadership Conference)

Katalyst ignites the leadership spark within undergraduates, offering workshops, speaker sessions, and networking opportunities designed to build the next generation of leaders in science and engineering. Katalyst also offers strong mentorship opportunities with current KSEA leaders with established careers and experience in both industry and academia. With its inaugural year in 2024, Katalyst has since supported the youngest members of KSEA to become national leaders.

Who Should Attend: 

Undergraduate students passionate about leadership, community building, and personal development are encouraged to apply.

Katalyst 2025 was a successful event, with overwhelming positive response from participants. 

• Was held in Research Triangle Park (Raleigh, NC) on February 21-23, 2025

• Theme: “Building Bridges, Shaping Leaders: From Ambition to Action"

• A platform for mentorship, leadership development, and networking

• Various programs catered towards undergraduate development:

  • Speaker remarks, participant leadership presentations, mentorship focus groups, mentorship panel session, poster session, networking dinner

• Over 65 students, VIPs, speakers, and mentors attended

How to Participate: 

• Applications for Katalyst 2026 participation will open in the Fall. We encourage early submissions and offer a limited number of scholarships for attendees.
