PROJECT: TicketHive Mobile App ROLE: UI/UX Lead Designer DURATION: 2 months
Overview
Ticket Hive, a mobile application for browsing, purchasing, and managing event tickets, was developed as part of the Optimus Bank Tech Graduate Trainee Program. This project provided an opportunity to apply user-centric design principles to create a user-friendly and convenient platform for event ticket discovery and purchase.
User Research
The design process for Ticket Hive began with a comprehensive user research phase. The team conducted surveys, interviews, and usability tests to understand the needs and pain points of potential users. This research informed the development of user personas and user stories, which were used to guide the design of the app.
User Personas and User Stories
Based on our user research, we developed a set of user personas and user stories. User personas are fictional representations of the different types of people who use the app. User stories are descriptions of the tasks that users want to accomplish with the app. These personas and user stories helped us to focus on the needs of the user throughout the design process.
The next step in the design process was to create a user flow that seamlessly guides users from browsing events to managing their tickets, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ticketing experience.
The next step in the design process was to create wireframes and mockups. Wireframes are low-fidelity sketches that show the layout of the app's screens. Mockups are more detailed and show the actual appearance of the app. The team used wireframes and mockups to iterate on the design of the app and get feedback from users.
After refining the wireframes and mockups, the team created a prototype of the app. A prototype is a working model of the app that allows users to interact with it. The team used a prototyping tool to create a prototype that was realistic and interactive. We created an interactive prototype of the app for user testing. We observed users interacting with the prototype to identify and address any usability issues, ensuring a user-friendly and intuitive experience.
