蔡晏霖
陽明交大人文社會學系副教授，土拉客實驗農家園水稻管理員。學術專長為女性主義人類學、多物種民族誌、印尼研究、食農研究。學術文章見於 Cultural Anthropogy, Current Anthropology, Indonesia, Inside Indonesia, Router: A journal of cultural studies, 中外文學 等期刊。近年除了找福壽螺拍紀錄片，也追尋福壽螺渡海來台又在整個季風亞洲開疆拓土、直至今日有田水處就有阿螺的亞際離散史。
Yenling TSAI
I am a cultural anthropologist and a part-time organic rice farmer based in northeast Taiwan. Seeing paddy fields as contact zones that weave multi-species relationships, I study how rural pasts and futures have been shaped by human and non-human agencies in cases such as species migration and water management. Since 2017, I have been studying the history of how, and with whom, certain invasive pests — golden apple snails —migrated from Argentina to Taiwan in the early 1980s, and how the invasion has transformed Taiwanese paddy field landscapes ever since. I also track the mid-1980s migration route of golden apple snails from Taiwan to Japan and the Philippines. I ask how, in particular, do farming infrastructure, rural economy and community culture, and pests control policy matter, in shaping the migration history of golden apple snail diaspora in Asia? I wish to find out how golden apple snails built very different entanglement with these three Asian countries, each with its unique but interconnected development trajectories.
