This is our up and coming FYP game! The game's premise is that it is based on the legend of Hou Yi and Chang'E, where you play as Hou Yi and you must escort a bunny (the manifestation of Chang'E's soul) to her physical body which is being held captive by Pang Meng.
For this game, I was the Team Lead and Level Designer and mainly planned out the structure, flow and design of the levels in coordination with our Art team (a group of 5 from the Animation & Game Arts specialisation, henceforth called AGA team).
A download link for the game will be provided in the future when our game is released.
MAD Grad Show is a 2 day event held yearly for MAD (Media, Arts and Design school) to show off the students' final year projects or other projects done by MAD.
This year's Grad show had our specialisation (Game Design and Development + Animation and Game Arts, now combined to form Animation and Games) all together to present our final year projects. Our booth was located a bit further in the convention center's lower floor.
We set up our booths on the 11th March 2025 and then the actual event was from the March 12th to the March 13th, presenting to industry partners, SP lecturers, parents, students and the general public.
Our booth on the 1st day after set up!
Our booth on the 2nd day!
On the 1st day, it was industry day so we had to present to SP's and MAD's industry partners. From around 3pm all the way to 9pm, our group was talking and presenting our project to people non-stop. We had met and networked with a great deal of people, got to know so many people and also found out about the industry more just from speaking to the partners. That day was also when the awards were to be handed out and for more info, check the next section for what happened that day.
On the 2nd day, it was open to the general public and whoever else wanted to come. We had expected to not need to speak so much, but was pleasantly surprised when we had the exact same situation as yesterday. There was so many people, from students to parents, lecturers to seniors, we basically spoke non-stop and presented to people about our project, receiving many compliments as well as advice.

The event ended as a success, both for our group and the event as a whole. We had successfully networked with so many people, got to know so many others and also won an award. We enjoyed the Grad Show and of course most importantly, enjoyed seeing the fruits of labour come to fruition.
Before going into how we won this award, some context will be provided. The MAD Creative Brilliance award is an award given to the team (out of 4 others) whose project, across all specialisations in MAD and not just our own specialisation, shows the most creativity and originality in their execution, concept, etc.
This award is being judged by 3 judges, each from the industry partners that MAD has invited or know. This award was also being competed for by 4 different groups.
Since other people were also here to see our booth, we could only assign 2 people to present our project to the judges. (Judges left of the image, 3rd one hidden by the other judges.) Those 2 people are me (the guy wearing the mask), and Shu Wei. (the girl with the circular glasses speaking)
We only had a short amount of time to present to the judges but from what we could see, the judges were so impressed with our work, they stayed longer than they were assigned to and kept asking us questions about our project.
The presentation only ended when the person guiding them had to politely come and escort them away so that they could judge the other groups and then decide on which one should win.
At the end of the day, the judges were impressed with not only our project, but another group's as well. Therefore, the award was a joint win between us and the other team, splitting the $1000 into $500 to each group.
All in all, it was a very well-deserved win as we had put a lot of effort into making the game and we are happy that we had won this award, even if it was a joint win. Although it was expected as the other groups' projects were also equally as good as ours.

Our Poster!
The game we did for our 2nd studio group project. This game's main premise came from an idea we had of a dark rougelite where you cannot see anything bar what is revealed by your flashlight.
I was one of the Lead Programmers for this project and I was in charge of making the movement, inventory, interaction, assisting the other programmer in the combat system and anything else like a main menu.
I felt that this game could've been better but for what it is, it's pretty decent despite the many bugs.
You can play the game via the provided file download. (Note: This game is in APK format, so only Android users can play this game)
My first ever game where I worked some of my classmates!
I was the Lead Designer for this project and I was in charge of designing the levels, assisting in the narrative, world-building and minor programming of the game.
It isn't very interesting, but it is our first project and we are very proud of it. You can play the game via the provided file download.
Honestly, this project was a very good learning experience for my friends and I, we learned so much from this project from the basics of game design to how to properly plan out a project.
This was a project for one of our modules which involved virtual production. We were tasked with making a short video which involved the use of virtual sets. To assist us in this, our client was Studio 65 from SPH where they provide the studio, the software and technical knowledge to help us with our project.
I was the guy in charge of making the virtual sets and the props we needed for our scenes for pre-production. For the production day itself, I was the guy in charge of setting up the virtual sets using Aximmetry and Unreal Engine 5. If we needed a change in scene or a change in angle or to set up the scene, I had to go in and change or set up myself.
