I drew My Melody from Sanrio. 

She is in a field with flowers and she is about to have a picnic.

My Melody is waiting for her friend to arrive for their picnic.

1) Describe your city scape.

My city scape is a brick wall with like a painting on the side.

2) What is one word or phrase your chose? Why?

The word I chose was 'Russ Santiago' because Russ is the name of my favorite artist and Santiago is the name of his most recent albums and one of my most  favorite albums.

3) What was most challenging about your drawing? 

I think the most challenging part was getting the font right for the letters, because it either had to be tilted to the side or the letters were just too close to each other. 

4) What do you feel is successful in your drawing?

I think the shading on the brick wall that i did with the color pencils and also with the sky came out really nice for me.

5) Describe your work using 3 Elements of Art.

I would say Line, Color, and Value.

6) Describe your art using 2 Principles of Design.

I would say Rhythm, Emphasis, and Balance.

I drew a flower and wrote a quote on my shirt to represent the Technical Arts and Design Academy. 

My design represents TADA because I think that the quote is basically saying that you can express more with art.

My spirit animal is my cat. His name is Lev. The picture I took as reference photo is him relaxing on our bench that we have outside our house. The sun was hitting his face in the reference photo.

My spirit animal represents me because me and my cat are each others best friends. Every time I come back from school or the store he comes out from his hiding place outside and meows at me to pet him and if I don't he starts rubbing himself on my legs to greet me. My mom always tells me that me and him are so much alike because we both don't like socializing with others. He doesn't really like other cats that aren't his kids or his sister and I don't really like talking to other people besides my family, and that is probably the reason why we are always together, we both prefer being by ourselves but we like it more when it's just us two together. I wanted to draw him as my zentangle spirit animal. 

From two elements of art I describe my work by using shapes, and lines.

2 elements of Principles of Design are pattern, contrast. 

A portrait is when you draw someone or yourself. I chose to draw my little cousin, because she means everything to me. She brings me so much joy and makes me smile everyday. Even sometimes when I'm busy I try to make time to be with her. Everyday after school she greets me with a hug and yells my name when I come home from school. The 2 Elements of art that I used are lines and shapes. Line because if you see around her sweater and her gloves you can see the many lines. Shapes because when I was drawing I was paying more attention to shapes then trying to get it perfect. The 2 principle of deign that I used are pattern and contrast. There is a pattern on her gloves and beanie. Contrast because it was all about shading so for each part the shading has to be light and dark because of the shadows in the picture that I had to add into the portrait.

The image I chose is Batman because he is my favorite character and he's becoming more popular now. My image shows pop culture by the powerful and bright colors I used on the four Batman's. My favorite color scheme is the pink one because pink is my favorite and Batman looks nice in pink especially when it's different colors of pink.

The 2 elements I would use of the Elements of Art are, color and space because the colors go well with each other.

The 2 Principles of Art that I'm choosing are, unity and contrast.

The image I used was a reference manga cover from the anime HunterXHunter. 

I decided on doing a manga cover. My characters name is Kazuha and she has a curse, called cursed speech and powerful nen. She has to fight other curses in order to help her team. Kazuha is very smart and confident, she is very good at job which is a hunter. Kazuha has many friends and has a few people whom rely on her and who she relies on too.

2 Elements of art that I'm using for my portrait are color, and value becuase I have color and the blending to the colors is the value.

2 Principles of Art that I'm choosing is unity and contrast.
