3D Artist
This week my main focus was creating customer concept art that will fit the criteria that would be favorable for making a simple rig, and animations, and would fit the theme of the gameplay. I then dedicated time into producing, and editing the LARP video to gain a better conceptual understanding of how rhythm and management will work hand in hand. Our team also discussed gameplay loop and role integrations, and brainstorming future assets.
This week I went back to the drawing board of creating more character customer concepts and potential hat options for each customer to wear. After careful consideration we picked the perfect character to begin production. I then modeled the first customer and did a rough block out of the first customer hat.
This week we decided to put the character designs/modeling on the backburner and in the meantime flushing out the rest of the stations with models. I modeled the coffee creamer and sugar packet for the coffee station. We collectively worked on the details of the rest of the stations by listing the final models we would need for the prep station. I updated the Asset Management document.
This week I modeled a chocolate chip, syrup container, and whip cream container to be used as particles for the prep station. We also came up with a list of future toppings for upgrades in the prep station. We dedicated most of meeting time of finalizing station functionality.
This week we held a sprint to start planning out the upgrade/customization system. We decided on making color palettes, and color themes for our customizations. It was decided that upgrades would be out of scope, but to make future assets to fit the criteria in order to be used for the asset prefab switching. I then modeled a jukebox to be part of the main menu music selection for the player to select the music from.
This week I modeled a sponge, plate, and a dish rack for the dishwashing station. The Dish Rack is a visual representation of the plate resevior to be used at the prep station, I then made a new puffy booth for one of the color theme customizations.
This week I created sea coral for the outdoor environment of the sea customization, a new overhead lamp for the cyberpunk customization , and a dawn soap model for decor in the dishwashing station.
This week my focus was to model sliced fruits for the prep station particles of strawberries, blueberries, and bananas as particle effects. We decided that the tongs would be the cursor to drag the fruit as a topping. We discussed future models needed and how to clean up the hierarchy in the project.
This week my main focus was adjusting the juke box UV/Materials to be textured and created a draft of the UI Tutorial Screens. I also created the Silver Dollar currency UI for the cash register to be used as a particle effect at the end of day. I also made text art shop bodega for the shop menu.
This week I finished the JukeBox texture art with Amanda and helped finish the Tutorial Screens with Luke. I then helped create Prep Station Icons, finalized the AssetManagement Document and started working on the GDD. We had to pre-record our final presentation, so I was in charge of the recording and editing of the video
This week as we continued to finalize our builds, I continued to work on updating and adding to the GDD, and provide playtest feedback along with creating our Game Trailer for our final presentation.
