Vision for Innovative Learning Environment

Knowledge can be transacted through experiential learning methods such as hands-on laboratory exercises, field visits/trips & excursions. Students should be encouraged to make connect with nature and to understand various plant life forms. Modelling methods can be used to inspire students to acquire understanding of evolution and interactions of plants with other organisms within the ecosystem. Social, Historical and environmental importance of plants should be discussed using interdisciplinary reading material, charts, pictures etc.

Visits to Research Institutes, Industries, Co-operatives etc. should be organized to keep students abreast with the latest developments in technology. Arrangements should be made for short term training programs for experiential learning of students.

Students should be encouraged to make small projects requiring data collection, and simple experiments which they can perform with the facilities available in the college. Such an exercise will help the students to find a problem and design an experiment. They should further be encouraged to present their findings at various conferences and seminars
