My Research demonstrated that various microbial culture media (which contain biomolecules) and root system possess potential for bulk synthesis of metal nanoparticles. Mannitol and yeast extract can safely be used for generation of Au and Ag nanoparticles by autoclaving with concerned salt solutions. Root system of plants detoxify ionic state by aptly converting them into less or non-toxic nanoparticle state and is an ideal phytostabilization mechanism.

Nature has enough potential to generate nanoparticles in a green way which was shown by our successful experiments wherein we showed impregnation of silver nanoparticles on fibres/fabrics/textile materials using sunlight.
