I was always fascinated by the beauty of nature. After completing my graduation (B.Sc.) in 2004 from Acharaya Narendra Dev College, University of Delhi in first division and I joined Jamia Hamdard, Delhi in 2004 to Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Environmental Botany, an interdisciplinary course. I completed my masters with a first division, with dissertation under the supervision of Prof. Altaf Ahmad.
Learning this discipline made me closer to nature and gave opportunity to travel during the field visits that were part of the curriculum. The journey of learning did not stop there and I pursued Ph.D. in Botany from the Department of Botany, University of Delhi, and was awarded the degree in 2014. I worked on the "Potential Utility of Microbial Culture Media and Plants to Generate Metal Nanoparticles" under Professor K.S. Rao and Professor P. Paradha Saradhi. I published 5 articles from my Ph.D. work. My research in Ph.D. led me to more quest wherein during my post-doctoral research under the mentorship of Prof. K.G. Saxena, SES, JNU, I evaluated the presence of Nanoparticles in sewage sludge and impact of TiO2 Nanaoparticles on soil health. I also have a degree in Education from the reputed Central Institute of Education (CIE), University of Delhi.
Presently, I work as an Assistant Professor, in the Department of Botany, Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi since January 2018.
