Block 2 Zao Ski Trip
This year we were able to enjoy our annual block event to Mt. Zao. For our block event, we invite everyone from block 2 which includes Miyagi, Fukushima, and Niigata to come visit Yamagata and stay at a Japanese Inn at Mt. Zao. This year we were also able to enjoy Kokeshi-doll painting, sake tasting and of course, winter sports.

Yamagata Gakuen Orphanage Visit
AJET was invited to come and enjoy the Yamagata Orphanage's Culture Festival again in 2019. Organized and coordinated by the kids and their supervisors, Yamagata JET's were able to experience a beautiful day full of games and delicious food. AJET thanks the orphanage for giving these children a place to call home and for inviting us to their amazing event. With the help of everyone through fundraising and other events, we have all been able to make a difference. We hope we can visit again!
Jomon Mura Welcome Party
Our annual welcome party held in the Jomon Mura park and campgrounds in Nagai City. Cabin fun in the woods with food, drinks, music and games. This year a throwback best-dressed competition was held with the theme "Choose your Era" and we had punks from the 70's to emos from the 2000's.
