From the two of us at Yamagata AJET, we want to say a big farewell to the departing JETs and big hello to the new incoming JETs.

To our leavers, we hope you were able to enjoy the time you had here despite the circumstances. Where ever you find yourself in the world after JET, we wish you all the best and will miss you dearly! To all the incoming JETs, welcome! You must be so excited to be finally coming to Japan. Check out the region guides and many resources we have for you and be sure to check out and follow our Instagram and Facebook. Fingers crossed you'll be like our mascot here, 'Kitekero-kun' and actually flying off without a hitch. We look forward to meeting you wherever and whenever that may be...

Finally, we want to applaud the 2020/2021 committee for their hard work during such difficult times. They managed to maintain relationships with partner organisations and even create new ones. The year 2020 brought unique challenges to hosting the usual events and community outreach efforts. But despite unprecedented times, the committee still managed to do their best to stay safe and keep the Yamagata JET community strong!
