2019 Sport Day

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's sports day!

All proceeds will be going to the Yamagata city orphanage.

We started the day with some volleyball

Then had a friendly game of kickball

And finished it off with an intense soccer match

Come join us next year for another beautiful day of fun!

2019 Hanami

This year's Hanami was a great success! It was the perfect weather to spend the afternoon among the cherry blossoms. Thank you to everyone who attended. We were very happy this year to see a lot of new faces. We hope to see you next year!

AJET Block 2 Zao Ski Trip

Starting the year off strong with the annual Block 2 Zao Ski Trip. This year we had participants from Yamagata, Miyagi, Fukushima, and Iwate! We also did things a bit differently this year by adding a bunch of different activities for people to participate in like Kokeshi painting, snowboard lessons, Snow Monster viewing, Sake tasting and more.

2018 Holiday Party

Every year, Yamagata AJET celebrates the various holidays with drinks, food and good company. A relaxed and chill time for JETs and friends to get together and look forward to the end of one year and the start of a new year.

2018 Halloween Party

It's that time of year where the Yamagata JETs and friends come together to celebrate Halloween. Everyone is invited to our annual all you can drink and eat party. Come and participate in the costume contest. This year's winners is the wonderful group from the Emperor's New Groove, The Joker, and Luigi.

Culture Day at the Orphanage

On October 2018, AJET was invited to come and enjoy the Yamagata Orphanage's Culture Festival. Organized and coordinated by the kids and their supervisors, Yamagata JET's were able to experience a beautiful day full of games and delicious food. AJET would like to thank the orphanage for giving these children a place to call home and for inviting us to their amazing event. We hope to see you there next year!

2018 Welcome Party

Every year, new JETs are given a warm welcome party in the forests of Jomon Mura. It is a cabin experience filled with games, food and good conversation. JETs and non-JETs are welcomed!
