AJET, or also known as "The Association for Japan Exchange and Teaching" is a volunteer organization which consists of JET participants. National AJET is the representing body of all JETs and ensures that all JETs receive sufficient support and information during their time on the JET Programme.

Yamagata AJET is a local AJET non-profit volunteer organization run within and for the JET community in Yamagata Prefecture. Working with both National AJET and Block 2 AJET (Miyagi, Yamagata, Niigata, Fukushima Areas), we organize events, cultural experiences, and community outreach events with the aim of enriching and supporting JETs during their time in Yamagata.

What does Yamagata AJET do?

Our mission as your AJET Committee is to develop a positive and encouraging community among the JETs and Japanese community in Yamagata. We host events which cater towards a variety of different interests and personalities, as well as updating you about any information related to Yamagata Prefecture.
