Tuesdays this fall CAPE is excited to offer the following classes:
Survival Class, Home Economics and Let's get Buggy! Incredible Insects (4th grade and up)
Two Elementary Exploration Classes (K-3rd):
Parent-led/rotation includes The Solar System and Dr. Seuss Books w Craft/Activity
Two additional teacher-led Early Elem classes: LEGO Challenge and Home Art
Classes start September 16 and run through November 4th (8 weeks)
We will also be offering Art Class on Mondays at 3:30pm (starting September 15)
Chess Club will be Mondays too (same start date.)

CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED
Families are encouraged to bring lunch and stay for fellowship after classes end for the day.
SURVIVAL CLASS (4th - 12th)
8-week survival class taught by the Wanamaker family
10 to 11:50am (2 hour class) $15 per student.
Students will learn:
-how to build a shelter
-how to find a water source
-what to do in the event of emergency
-which plants are poisonous
-what you should do if you get lost
-how to use a compass and read a map

HOME ECONOMICS (4th -12th)
8-week home economics class taught by Jammie Apodaca
10 to 11:50am (2 hour class) $15 per student.

LET'S GET BUGGY!
INCREDIBLE INSECTS (4th - 12th)

10 to 11:50am $15 per student.
This class will teach students about the most common insects in our area. We will have many activities, games, crafts and discussions throughout this class. A handout on each insect and notebook will be kept in class to add to and reference.

CAPE is offering two rotations of Elementary Exploration classes.
These classes will be Parent-led, no student fee.
We will pick teachers/helpers from the sign up sheet.

LEGO CHALLENGE (K-3rd)
taught by Heidi Brown
10 to 10:50am $15 per student
Get ready to build, create, and imagine in this 8-week LEGO Challenge adventure! Each week brings a brand-new fun challenge that lets you think like an engineer, work with friends, and bring awesome ideas to life with colorful bricks. Perfect for young builders who love to explore, experiment, and have tons of fun!
HOME ART (K-3rd)
taught by Melody Wahput
11 to 11:50am $15 per student
A hands-on introduction to hospitality, etiquette and handicrafts. Students will learn polite greetings, table manners and simple handmade projects to bless others, building confidence and kindness as they prepare to host a small celebration at the end of the course.

CAPE will provide preschool for the younger siblings of
parents teaching classes ONLY. Preschool will run two hours.

WHAT: Art Class taught by Julia Wullabbs
WHEN: Mondays, 3:30 - 5:00 PM, beginning Sept 15th.
WHERE: Tieton Bible Church
WHO: CAPE Members age 5 and up (no preschoolers)
COST: $100 per student (includes 8 classes and materials)

CAPE Chess Club is open to CAPE members 3rd grade and higher.
Kids will have fun learning the fundamentals of chess and will be
encouraged to play chess with others to improve their chess playing abilities.
We will meet on Mondays from 3:30 to 5:30, beginning Sept 15th.
at Tieton Bible Chapel in Yakima.

Homeschool PE
This 8-week homeschool PE class, led by homeschool moms
is open to all students ages 5 through high school.
Our PE class will be Friday mornings at Franklin Park (new location!)
There is no cost for this class and it is open to all CAPE students.
Parent volunteers are encouraged to help.

Pickleball
This 8-week pickleball class, taught by Randy Brown, CAPE homeschool dad, is open to all students ages 9 to 18.
Our pickleball class will be Friday mornings at Franklin Park.
There is no cost for this class and it is open to all CAPE students.
Class size limit: 12
