A short project description:

The project is still a work in progress going on from the beginning of 2018...

....But the Arduino DUE based version is ready!!!

What is an Xover44 Modular Crossover?

The dream of any diyselfer speaker builder, but also a powerful machine to drive your multi-way sound system in any situation and with any speakers set, still keeping a total phase coherence for every frequency cut.

Applications for Xover44 are from the laboratory use, to the normal high fidelity listening to the live concerts.

Features:

  • Variable frequencies (32 steps or 5-bit controlled) high quality resistors set, connected by 15 super-affordable micro-latched-relays for every module]
  • Variable geometry of the filter (4 steps or 2-bit controlled) high quality resistors set, connected by 4 super-affordable micro-latched-relays for every module][-6db (Linkwitz-Riley), -5db, -4db, -3db (Butterworth)]
  • Variable Order of the filter module (2 steps or 1-bit controlled) [selection of 12db/oct. or 24db/oct. trough a super-affordable micro-latched-relays for every module]
