Postdocs

• Currently, there are two postdoc positions available in our group: one on double-diffusive convection in rotating boxes and spheres, and one on machine learning for turbulence or DNS for highly turbulent flow with CPU or GPU. 

• If you are interested in working with us with your own funding, there are also several opportunities:

PhDs

1. Machine Learning prediction of reversals in thermal convection and geomagnetic field (co-supervised together with Johannes Wicht)

2. DNS of low Prandtl number convection  (co-supervised together with Laurent Gizon)

3. Keplerian turbulence: thermal and magnetic effects

4. Data driven method for CFD

5. Fluid structure interaction in stokes flow

Master thesis

• There are various topics available in our group (unsteady bio-locomotion, turbulence, machine learning in CFD, geo- and astrophysical flow).
