The "Illinois Portuguese Language Connection" is an initiative of the three largest universities in Illinois: Northwestern University, The University of Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The main objective of this annual event is to bring together Portuguese students from universities in Illinois to interact in a dynamic and festive event.
The tenth edition of the Illinois Portuguese Language Connection will take place at the University of Chicago on Saturday, November 5th, 2022.
We will celebrate 10 years of our collaboration and also celebrate the
200th anniversary of Brazilian Independence
We will participate in several activities related to Brazil: a delicious typical lunch, exhibition of posters about Brazil, a Samba workshop with Brazilian dancers and the release of a special issue of the Revista VAERANDA, with texts by students from the universities involved.
