The Allotment Site

A New Allotment Site for Wymondham 🌱

Exciting plans are underway for a new allotment site in Wymondham, creating more opportunities for local residents to grow their own fruit, vegetables and flowers, enjoy the outdoors and become part of a thriving allotment community.

A planning application (2026/2374) has now been submitted, and we are currently awaiting the outcome of the planning process.

The proposed site will provide approximately 190 allotment plots, each measuring around 12.5m × 10m, giving many more local people the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of having their own growing space.

Allotments are about much more than growing food. They provide a place to get outdoors, stay active, learn new skills, share knowledge with neighbours and build friendships within the local community.

We will be sharing more information about the proposed site and the plans following our Open Meeting at Fairland Hall on Monday 14th September.

We look forward to meeting members and supporters, answering questions and sharing more about this exciting opportunity for Wymondham.
