Hi All, My name is Sheeba Ajmal. I have been working with education technology for almost 13 years now. I firmly believe technology has the power to transform lives of individuals provided used effectively , at the right place, at the right time and for the right purpose. Seymour Pappert had said somewhere in 80s that there will be time when computers will be used as pens pencils in schools and I believe that time has come, with tablets, computers, BYOD etc being introduced in schools the change is evident. I read somewhere and I completely agree technology will not replace teachers but teachers who do not use technology will get replaced. Teacher is no longer considered a supreme being who pours knowledge from a jug into the brains of a kids this formula no longer exists. I see future schools being turned into global villages, with no boundary walls, kids communicating globally with their peers, sharing ideas, discussing and challenging assumptions, and taking concrete steps to ensure this world becomes a much safer and peaceful place to live for all fellow beings. And as I see technology has and will emerge as a much stronger tool to ensure the transition is smooth.

More on technology in my blogs ictinlt.blogspot.com. My blogs reflect my sheer passion to work with education technology.
