By downloading, accessing, or using THE BLACK ABO application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Platform.

When you register and use THE BLACK ABO, you may provide us with:

Family member profiles and linked academy memberships

When you use our Platform, we may automatically collect:

Session duration and interaction patterns

Your academy or school administrator when they enroll you on the Platform
Payment processors (Stripe, Apple Pay) for transaction confirmation
Social login providers (Apple Sign-In, Google) if you choose to use these services

Create and manage your account and profile
Process class bookings, registrations, and payments
Track attendance, progression, and belt grading
Deliver training videos, schedules, and coaching content

THE BLACK ABO serves users of all ages, including children under 13 years of age. We take children's privacy extremely seriously and comply with applicable laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international equivalents.
For users under 13 years of age:
A parent or legal guardian must create the account and provide verifiable consent
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service
We do not display targeted advertising to children
We do not share children's personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the service
Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting hello@theblackabo.com
Academy administrators who enroll children on behalf of families confirm that they have obtained appropriate parental consent before doing so.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
Your coach, instructor, or academy administrator may have access to your training data, attendance records, and progression information as part of the service they provide to you.
We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:
Payment processors (Stripe, Apple Pay) — for secure transaction processing
Cloud hosting providers — for secure data storage and infrastructure
Analytics providers — for anonymized platform performance data only
Email and notification delivery services
All service providers are contractually required to handle your information only as directed by us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or in response to a valid request by a public authority, or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of THE BLACK ABO or others.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Specifically:
Active account data is retained for the duration of your membership
Training history and progression records are retained to support your long-term development journey
Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UAE commercial law
Upon account deletion, personal data is erased within 30 days, except where retention is required by law
Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to receive it in a portable, machine-readable format.
You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information about you. You may also update most of your information directly within the app settings.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. To delete your account and associated data, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the app, or contact us at hello@theblackabo.com.
You may opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time by tapping "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or by updating your notification preferences in the app settings.
You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or the app's notification preferences.
THE BLACK ABO is operated from the United Arab Emirates and is subject to UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). If you access our Platform from outside the UAE, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the UAE or other countries where our service providers operate.
We ensure that such transfers are protected by appropriate legal safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, and that recipient countries provide an adequate level of data protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.
