When you use our Platform, we may automatically collect:

• Your academy or school administrator when they enroll you on the Platform

• Payment processors (Stripe, Apple Pay) for transaction confirmation

• Social login providers (Apple Sign-In, Google) if you choose to use these services

3. How We Use Your Information

3.1 To Provide and Operate the Platform

• Create and manage your account and profile

• Process class bookings, registrations, and payments

• Track attendance, progression, and belt grading

• Deliver training videos, schedules, and coaching content

• Enable communication between members, coaches, and academy administrators

• Understand how users interact with the Platform to improve features

• Send class reminders, booking confirmations, and schedule updates

• Notify you about belt grading eligibility and progression milestones

• Deliver important platform updates, policy changes, and security alerts

• Send promotional communications (only with your explicit consent)

• Comply with applicable laws and regulations in the UAE and internationally

4. Children's Privacy

THE BLACK ABO serves users of all ages, including children under 13 years of age. We take children's privacy extremely seriously and comply with applicable laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and international equivalents.

For users under 13 years of age:

• A parent or legal guardian must create the account and provide verifiable consent

• We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide the service

Academy administrators who enroll children on behalf of families confirm that they have obtained appropriate parental consent before doing so.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

5.1 With Your Academy or School

Your coach, instructor, or academy administrator may have access to your training data, attendance records, and progression information as part of the service they provide to you.

5.2 With Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:

• Payment processors (Stripe, Apple Pay) — for secure transaction processing

• Cloud hosting providers — for secure data storage and infrastructure

• Analytics providers — for anonymized platform performance data only

• Email and notification delivery services

All service providers are contractually required to handle your information only as directed by us and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

5.3 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or in response to a valid request by a public authority, or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of THE BLACK ABO or others.

5.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your personal information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

• Training history and progression records are retained to support your long-term development journey

• Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UAE commercial law

• Upon account deletion, personal data is erased within 30 days, except where retention is required by law

• Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

8.1 Access and Portability

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to receive it in a portable, machine-readable format.

8.2 Correction

You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information about you. You may also update most of your information directly within the app settings.

8.3 Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal information. To delete your account and associated data, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the app, or contact us at hello@theblackabo.com.

8.4 Opt-Out of Marketing

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time by tapping "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or by updating your notification preferences in the app settings.

8.5 Push Notifications

You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or the app's notification preferences.

9. International Data Transfers

THE BLACK ABO is operated from the United Arab Emirates and is subject to UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL). If you access our Platform from outside the UAE, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the UAE or other countries where our service providers operate.

We ensure that such transfers are protected by appropriate legal safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, and that recipient countries provide an adequate level of data protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.

THE BLACK ABO does not use your data to track you across other apps or websites owned by third parties for advertising purposes.
