Undergraduates
The lab has ongoing projects that could always use a set of hands. I don’t require any particular experience but some understanding of the marine environment, data organization, statistical analysis, and the scientific method are helpful. I don’t expect a mastery of marine fisheries science, but if you have experience gained elsewhere, I’m happy to build upon your experiences and have you guide others in the lab. Depending on where you are in your student career and how much we’ve worked together, we can find an appropriate level of independent research for you—especially if you’re enthusiastic and dedicated.
I receive a lot of inquiries about internships at outside organizations. I am not responsible for any of these programs and only very occasionally serve as a reviewer. To help provide some guidance for where to seek internships, I will attempt to keep an active list here.
