Prospective Students

I am looking for students who are interested in coastal and marine science--and fishes!--to join the Coastal and Marine Fish Lab. Students who are curious, motivated, committed, and enthusiastic are welcome to inquire about opportunities in the lab.

I get a lot of emails. So, before emailing, please review the information on this page and also take a look at the Research Interests and Projects page to get a sense of our research themes. If you are bringing experience with you from an internship or job and have ideas for continued research, I am always happy to discuss new research ideas. Providing details about your interests, existing skills, and what you hope to accomplish is especially helpful for me in communicating with you. Graduate students, you have a few additional requests—see the Graduate Students link below.

You don't have to be an expert in any of the topics to find a research opportunity here—part of being a student is learning. I do value commitment, communication, curiosity, and a can-do spirit.
